Hey NTHUSIMonians
I just want to make sure this solution is what I need before I make the purchase, so here´s the setup:
-----------------
7mts diam geo dome
3 projectors
triplehead2go
will be running mainly flash player apps.
we want to achieve full hemisphere coverage. the projectors are placed, and we have pixel coverage.
---------------
the first tests with the demo seem to work fine, I was just wondering if there's a way to apply the warp to a flash app(flash panorama player) running on a web browser, because at the moment it only seems to warp if the swf is running on the standalone flash player with full screen mode active.
let me know what you think!
thankz

You would be one of the first to show it off using dome. Pretty much everyone so far is circular projection, not dome. I'm interested to see how it handles your setup. It would be useful to document it so others might also use your setup as an example to base new dome builds off of.
As far as flash video, it's worked off and on in a few versions, but I've not seen a focus yet for people requiring it. What has confused me about flash based video so far is that some sites video will pre-warp in full screen while others won't. For a time I was watching HULU with proper prewarp and also some other embedded flash players. I think a recent flash engine update broke some of the functionality to pre-warp though. Adobe has been mesing with CUDA and other forms of acceleration that might be confusing matters with their player.
It would be a good addition to the feature set though, so you might make a specific compatibilty request for it. So far, DirectX or OpenGL video renderer within something like Media Player Classic has been the requirement for pre-warping video content. Maybe there is a codec pack for flash video and you could just play it in MPC or VLC as an interum solution?
